Public Works: Authorization to advertise for bids for the Emma Lee Lane Reconstruction & Crossing / Lift Station #37 Replacement; and pre-authorization for the City Manager to award and execute the contract on behalf of the City to the lowest responsible bidder, providing project bid is within current budget appropriation.
Public Works: Adoption of Resolution No. 21-14-R regarding the public transit needs within the City of Hanford and authorization for the City Manager to sign and submit claims for funds and any subsequent amended claims required; 2) Determine, based on City's financial participation in and support of the existing Kings County Area Public Transit System, that there are no areas within the City of Hanford with unmet public transit needs which could reasonably be met by the expansion of the existing system or by the establishment of a new system; 3) Approval of the filing of the Notice of Exemption to certify that projects to be constructed with these funds are categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
GENERAL BUSINESS: A. Community Development: Council consideration and approval of the Hanford Area Municipal Service Review and Sphere of Influence Update and Adoption of Resolution 21-15-R, directing staff to file an application with Kings County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) for a request to expand the City’s Sphere of Influence, as identified within the 2035 Hanford General Plan Update. B. Parks and Community Services: Approval of two full-time Recreation Coordinator positions to the Parks and Community Services Department. C. Council: Discussion of Council Options and possible Council Action related to filling the vacant Council seat in District A.
